Reverdy is one of the most iconic wineries of Sancerre. Year in and year out they consistently turn out some of the most important, benchmark, wines of the upper Loire.
This historic estate has history going back to the 1600s, but it wasn't until just after WWII that the increase in wine production really kicked off. Though they have long made traditional wines of the region, they were among the first to take Pinot Noir seriously, and make some of the best Sancerre Rouge on the market.
But this classic take on Sauvignon Blanc is what they're most famous for. It spends a few months resting on the lees, building textural depth and adding complexity, while aging in stainless steel to maintain freshness. There is never enough of this wine to go around, so enjoy it while it's here!
