    The Sommelier's Atlas of Taste

    Regular price $40.00

Join along for a tour of Europe through the eyes of a Master Sommelier (Raj Parr) and veteran wine writer (Jordan Mackay). The Sommelier's Atlas of Taste is a wonderful look into the classic wines and appellations from across the continent. The book is a study in place, technology, memory, relationships, history, and the beauty that can come from cracking the perfect bottle of wine for the perfect moment.

Although you can read it straight through - which feels like you're tagging along on one of the most exquisite road trips of all time, flitting between the various times had and terroirs of Burgundy, Chablis, Barolo (and others) - The Sommelier's Atlas of Taste is equally valuable as a reference. The plainspoken language makes it easy to parse apart what makes the soil, the history, the people of a specific village make wines that are different than those from another town across a valley. Having a Master Sommelier along for the ride shows how the act of blind tasting is much more than a parlor trick.

We love this book and how, for us, it gave life to the distant, tiny, villages where our favorite wines are made; and for the absolutely gorgeous photography found within its pages.
