Jean-Yves decided to leave his native Savoie in the late 1990s, choosing to study winemaking with the acclaimed Thierry Allemand and Bruno Schueller (Cornas and Alsace, respectively).
In 2004, when he felt ready to return home, he took over his family's small plots of land, choosing to farm them organically and biodynamically. This choice - allowing his wines to stand on their own, elegantly showcasing their terroir - was ahead of its time. Considered a young visionary, the wines of Jean-Yves bring a focus, a delight, an energy.
This cuvée might be our favorite from Jean-Yves (but, as you know, we're unashamed white-wine fanatics). A unique single varietal bottling of Savoie-grown Roussanne, which is also macerated for 2 months in Amphora, this wine seriously brings both delicacy and structure to the party. Fruit. Spice. Texture. Aromatics. This wine seriously has it all.
